The new season starts on Monday, September 9th!

About Us

The Aylmer Badminton Club offers a welcoming and encouraging environment for players of all levels.

All players over the age of 15 are welcome, but a basic level is strongly encouraged before joining the Club.

Players aged 15 to 17 can be admitted provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult (parent or guardian), who can also register or attend game nights.

Whether you’ve had formal badminton training, are a committed self-starter or have experience at the competitive level, our club has something to offer you.

Join us in cultivating the love of badminton!

Are we a good fit for you?

Our games are played at a medium to experienced level, so we ask you to acquire prior experience before joining our club.

Please note that the club management reserves the right to refuse membership to anyone without adequate skills.

This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all, helping prevent injuries among inexperienced players unfamiliar with basic badminton techniques.

Your understanding and preparation are greatly appreciated.

Additionally, please be aware that we do not provide professional coaching on-site except for some friendly advice.

Bring your racket; the club provides plastic shuttlecocks and nets.

No outside footwear is allowed in the gymnasium. Non-marking soles only.

Club Rules

1 – Upon arrival at the gymnasium or after completing a game, members or guests must place their tags at the bottom of the waiting line.

2 – Members who enroll for the entire season will receive personalized tags with their names printed on them. The guests, however, must select a generic tag marked with “Invite(e)” and jot down their names.

3 – Members and guests must settle payment through an e-transfer (tresorier@badmintonaylmer.ca) or cash before their first game of the season or the evening, respectively.

4 – The player selects three partners from the players in the waiting line. This player is also responsible for calling the chosen players to the court.

5 – The players are permitted to play one game at a time. However, if no one is waiting in line, you can play the next game(s) without leaving the court.

6 – Singles play is permissible only when available court spaces exceed the number of waiting players.

7 – We do our best to match players based on their skill levels, but it’s not always possible. Still, we work hard to make sure everyone has a good experience that fits their skill level.

8 – Only plastic shuttlecocks the club provides are utilized in the games.
